My father was class of 1949. I had 83 average and 1100 board scores, so they accepted me into Fordham College. My grades were not good enough for the business school.

Have over a 3.7 GPA, and a 1450 out of 1600 SAT score and you make the maybe pile. Add some extra curricular activities and you'll be accepted. This school is one of New York's most demanding University's. I would say its on par with NYU, just below Columbia and Cornell. Nonetheless the school is only for the best and brightest students.

I didn't do much to get in except fill out the app and do an audition for the Theatre program (I didn't make it into that but no worries really). Fordham was not one of my top choices at all until I visited a second time and just fell in love with it. To other people trying to get in, I would just recommend having decent grades and good SAT scores as well as writing a decent, non-generic essay.

This school was one of my backups, and I am not extremely smart or anything. I had a 3.6, took one AP course that I got a C in, i only took like 1 honors course. I played 2 sports and was captain, but I didn't really join any extra curriculars. I got a 1300 (out of 1600) on my SATS. I ended up getting a pretty good scholarship package so its not that hard.
